bed & breakfast
Talbot Street bed & breakfast, 903 Talbot Street This house was originally built as a two-story Victorian by Taylor pioneer Henry Seiders in 1889. On New Year's Day 1931, a fire destroyed the top floor and the house was rebuilt as a bungalow by recycling original material. After three generations of ownership by Seiders descendents, current owners Claire and Bill Maxwell bought the property in 2001 and used the same principle of recycling in the restoration of the home and garden. Special features of the property include original woodwork, artisan stained glass, cottage garden and the oldest live oaks in Taylor.
